The Future of American Education

I believe that there is a lot of hope for the future of American Education. My son's current teacher has given me a big inspiration for education's future.

Her style of teaching is unlike any other. She is very animated and makes learning fun for my son and his classmates. Even for the ones who may have a hard time focusing, she reels them in with her bubbly personality and fun activities.

For example, when I went to school and it was time to review for an upcoming test, we would get out a "test review packet" and go over each question on the blackboard. In her class, she has a wealth of games to choose from to make the review more interesting and fun, and therefore, more retainable.

If there are more teachers out there like this one, and I know there are, then there is absolutely hope for the future of American Education!

This post is part of the MAT@USC Hope for the holidays event. Did you experience or witness an event in 2009 that gave you hope for the future of American education? If so, please see this post for more information on how to share it.
